We had no idea when we chose to have our wedding at the Holiday Inn, that Patty and the rest of the staff would help us navigate such an unknown time in our lives. We began our wedding planning pre-Covid and without the help of Patty and the rest of the team we would not have been able to keep going. The team at Holiday Inn was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very understanding of everything going on. They simply wanted to see us have the wedding of our dreams and they MADE IT HAPPEN.

We had a specific vision in mind, and they made sure to meet with us periodically before hand to hear that vision, take notes, and put a plan into action to make it come true. We barely lifted a finger for the decor; it was GORGEOUS and exactly what we had discussed in our meetings. Along with all of that, the food and service was amazing. Our guests were so amazed by the professionalism, charisma, and cleanliness of the staff. 

Patty, specifically, made our whole experience so seamless. 

She was communicative, empathetic, energetic, kind, and ready to do anything she could to make our dreams come true. By the end of it all, she felt like family. She even stopped by the night of our wedding to wish us well, see how it all turned out, and make sure everything was as it should be!

Where to begin? The BEST of the best! Stop looking at other venues right now, because Holiday Inn City Centre has it ALL.

I am originally from the Sioux Falls area, but am currently living in Michigan. So, as if planning a ‘destination wedding’ at baseline doesn’t have its own stressors and obstacles, then add 2020; a learning curve for everyone. Let me tell you, never did I ever feel like I wasn’t a priority and that everything was going to be okay - it was beyond okay, it was PERFECT! From quick email responses, to zoom meetings “just to make sure we’re all good”, to personally working with our schedule to schedule a private tasting since we were unable to attend their Wedding Showcase, I always felt taken care of. PS: we LOVED the food and received so many compliments about how great it was!

Let’s keep going. Think you need a wedding planner? Done. They are the wedding planner! They are here for you every. step. of. the. way!

Decorations got you stressed? Take a deep breath, also taken care of! They have so many beautiful centerpieces you can choose from. They set up the head table, they have back drop options, they have all the linen colors you can think of, some also complimentary, they have chair covers, and even offer  up- lighting packages.

AGAIN, I cannot thank APRIL and ALL the staff at Holiday Inn City Centre enough for ensuring that our wedding day was not only the BEST DAY, but that it was also the most seamless and stress free day! If you don’t believe me that that is a real, possible feeling, then book Holiday Inn City Centre and find out for yourself!                                   -Josh & Stephanie

The Holiday Inn is THEE place to have your wedding! If you are looking for organized, open minded (to anything!!), responsive & an all around wonderful group of people to work with - you should choose this venue, no questions asked. My husband & I were lucky enough to work with Patty throughout our wedding planning process. She always put us at ease, told us to call/email her any time (& would actually respond quickly - compared to other vendors) and was respectful of anything we asked/brought up regarding our ideas for our wedding. We felt like she truly cared about us & our love for one another - not just getting the sale & being 'done' with it. We actually ended up doing our entire wedding ceremony & reception in the starlight room, up on the 8th floor, (if you haven't ever checked it out, you MUST - it is stunning!) & once we laid out all of our 'ideas' - we were told to just show up on our wedding day & it will be done! (I will admit that we were a little nervous to just 'show up' - however, once we walked in, literally every little detail exceeded ALL of our expectations we had ever imagine). You will have to worry about NOTHING - they take care of it all. We will forever be grateful for the Holiday Inn, Patty & all of the banquet staff/servers for making our wedding dreams come to life. If we were to do it all over again, we would choose the Holiday Inn time & time again.       -Jack & Kirsten
